Seasonal Jobs Hiring at Kohl’s
The 2011 holiday season is upon us and the seasonal hiring for hourly jobs has begun.
Kohl’s Department Stores (apply now) announced today (October 4, 2011) that it plans to hire more than 40,000 hourly employees nationwide this holiday season, up 5 percent from last year due to store growth in 2011.
Kohl’s anticipates hiring an average of 35 hourly workers per store at its 1,127 stores in 49 states. In addition, the company anticipates hiring approximately 2,500 seasonal positions at distribution centers and more than 500 seasonal and full time credit operations positions.
Seasonal associates can work anywhere from a few hours to more than 20 hours per week. Typical store jobs include unloading trucks, freight processing, stocking and cash register duties. Hiring begins this month, and most jobs will be filled by mid-November. Hiring began in August at distribution centers.
