Walmart Creating Thousands of Retail Jobs

Retail Jobs

Walmart announced this month that it plans to create more than 22,000 retail jobs this year in new or expanded U.S. stores. Expect to see new retail jobs for store managers, pharmacists, human resource managers, cashiers and sales associates.

Available hourly careers will include store management, pharmacists, human resource managers, cashiers and sales associates. Several states will see more than 1,000 new jobs: Walmart says it will create about 1,300 jobs in Arizona, 1,300 jobs in Florida, 1,500 jobs in Michigan and 1,000 jobs in California.

Walmart has been working hard to show its commitment to its hourly workers. Earlier in 2009, the company shared more than $2 billion in financial incentives with its hourly workers through bonuses, 401(k) and profit sharing plans.
