Working at Walgreens

Pros:

• My co-workers were great and the customers were outstanding. There was nothing better than helping customers knowing that they really appreciated it.
• They offer a pretty flexible work schedule. It’s more than just the traditional hours of 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts.
• Good pay and benefits compared to the competition and reasonably good opportunities to advance in company.

Cons:

• The “four way test ” is proved invalid at various moments. A little less micromanaging from corporate would be nice.
• With the lack of promotion within the company, too many employees have become complacent.
• Customers often took their anger out on you because of pharmacy complication.

• Assistant Manager- $16.73/hr
• Photo Specialist- $8.64/hr
• Pharmacy Technician- $10.73/hr
• Pharmacist – $53.50/hr
• Service Clerk- $8.11/hr

Job Interview Questions

• Interview consists of several questions regarding customer service and problem solving skills.
• I got called in for an interview even though my job application stated I was looking for part-time or seasonal work. The manager ended up not wanting to hire me because I didn’t want to be full-time.
• Overall, the job interview process was done very well. I had an on-campus interview, which consisted of mostly behavioral questions with a few technical/job specific questions at the end.
• Tell me a time when you had a difficult customer that was very upset with you and how you resolved it.
• What makes you the right person for this job?
