7 Tips to Acing a Job Interview

So you finally landed the hard to get job interview. Follow our 7 easy steps outlined below to increase your chances of landing a job.

1. Do your prep work. Research the company you are about to interview with. Never go to a job interview without knowing the history of the company. Simply Google the company and read what shows up in the top 10 results.

2. Put your best foot forward from the start. Talk about your past accomplishments and how those experiences make you a right fit for this new job.

3. Be aware of body language. Subtle cues, such as your eye contact, facial expressions and posture will affect how hiring managers perceive you.

4. Have a good positive story to tell. Be prepared to provide memorable anecdotes about how you have helped solve past business problems.

5. Come with interesting questions. From the research you did in tip #1, have at least 3 well thought of questions related to the company or the position in which you are interviewing for.

6. Be yourself. Be yourself during the job interview. Remember not only are you being interviewed for the job, you are interviewing the company. If you cannot be yourself during the interview then chances are the job is not a right fit for you.
